He was born July 18, 1882 in Parnell and has been a resident of Belding for the past 44 years. He was employed at Extruded Metals from 1940 to 1951 when he retired. Prior to that he was employed for several years at the silk mills. April 19, 1904 he was married to Mary Doyle at Hastings and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary four weeks ago. Surviving besides his wife Mary, are three sons, Ronald of Belding, Daniel of Inkster and Frank of Albion; three daughters; Mrs. Eileen Newton of Kalamazoo, Mrs. Eunice Decker of Greenville, Mrs. Loretta Shannon of Belding; 11 grandchildren, two brothers, William of Los Angeles, California, and Frank of Flint; two sisters, Mrs. Elias Finn and Mrs. Anna Malone of Parnell. Rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 8 o’clock at the Ellis funeral home. Funeral services will be held at St. Joseph’s church in Belding at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. C. E. Steves officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s cemetery.
