Cottingham, prominent Ionia dentist, who died June 15, from a stroke suffered Wednesday, June 10, were held from the home Wednesday, June 17, at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. Adam Westmaas, assisted by Rev. H.A. Simpson, conducted the service. Interment was at Muir cemetery. Ms. Loren C. Grieves and Mrs. Bert Thatcher were in charge of the numerous floral offerings. The Grand Valley Packing Co., Lions Club, Elks lodge, and the American Legion auxiliary sent floral pieces. Ionia dentists and Elks attended in a body. Pall-bearers were Bert (unreadable section) Montgomery Webster and K.R. Smith, Jr. Out of town relatives attending the services were Mrs. Smith Quayle of Cincinnati; Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Traynick, of Portland; Mr. and Mrs. Claude Kraft, of Saginaw (unreadable section) Mr. and Mrs. Burr (unreadable0 of East Lansing.
