Sentinel-Standard - Thursday, July 25, 1968

Mrs. Cora A. Cottingham, 100, former resident of Ionia and widow of an Ionia 
dentist, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elsie C. Traynick of 113 
Lincoln, Portland where she had made her home the past 30 years. Ms. 
Cottingham would have celebrated her 101st birthday, July 26.

She was born in Ohio, in 1867, the daughter of B.F. and Ann Schuyler 
Newhouse. She was a member of Ionia Presbyterian church 79 years having 
joined in 1889.

Surviving are the daughter, Mrs. Traynick, two grandchildren and three great 
grandchildren.

funeral services will be Saturday at 1 pm at Neller funeral home Portland, 
with interment at Muir cemetery.
