Ionia Standard, 19 Oct 1917

The funeral services for the late Wm. Cotton, who died in the Belding City
Hospital were held in the Orleans M. E. church Thursday afternoon, Rev. Birdsall
officiating, and the burial taking place in the Woodward Lake cemetery.  Mr.
Cotton had long been a resident here, and respected by all who knew him.  He
leaves one son, William Cotton of Grand Rapids.

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Cotton of Grand Rapids, who came to attend the funeral of Mr.
Cotton’s father, spent Wednesday night at the home of Ernest Leach.
