Lake Odessa Wave
          BEATRICE COTTON
   LAKE ODESSA -- Mrs. Beatrice Cotton, age 93, of 6834 Brown Road, Woodland died
Sept. 12 at the Barry County Medical Facility.
   She was born March 29,1888 in Newaygo County, the daughter of Charles and Sarah
Mullin Stratton.  She attended Wilcox Rural School in Newaygo County.
   She married Walker Cotton in Grand Rapids.  He preceded her in death on June 17,
1970.  They moved to the Lake Odessa-Woodland area in 1917 where they farmed for several 
years.
   She was a member of the Woodbury United Brethren Church, the women missionary
society and a past member of the three by four club.
   She is survived by her brother, Raymond Stratton of Grand Rapids, and several
nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Woodbury United Brethren
Church with the Reverend Edgar Perkins officiating.  Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery 
in Lake Odessa.
   A memorial has been established for the Woodbury United Brethren Missionary Fund.
