                       WILLIAM A. COTTON

William A. Cotton, 78, of 611 West Washington Street, died at the Ionia County 
Memorial Hospital Friday April 3, at 11 p.m. He was transferred Wednesday from 
the Eckert Nursing Home. Mr.Cotton had been in poor health for the past four 
years.

He was born in New York state Oct. 13, 1874, the son of William and Marie 
Cotton. He had lived in Ionia for 20 years and previous to that in Grand Rapids 
for 20 years. At one time, he operated a store in Hart for 10 years. He was a 
decorator and painter by trade.

In October 1933 he was married to Mary Wittish of Ionia.

Cotton was a former member of the Elks Lodge of Grand Rapids. He was a member of 
the SS Peter & Paul church of Ionia.

He is survived by his wife and several cousins.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 9 a.m from the SS.Peter & Paul Church.

Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Rosary will be said at the Boynton Funeral Home Monday at 7:30 p.m.
