Ionia Sentinel Standard, 11 May 1966

Gertrude Cottrell, 72, of 634 Morse street, died at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday in the
Belding hospital where she had been a patient for about a week.  

She was born in Flint, September 3, 1894, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick
Cottrell.  Miss Cottrell worked at Ionia Manufacturing company 31 years, and was
a member of the First Christian church and American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are two brothers, Victor of Ionia, and Copley of South Ionia; one
sister, Mrs. Ernestine McNichols of Detroit, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Myers funeral home with the Rev.
James Kendall officiating.  Interment will be at Balcom cemetery.
