Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 27 Jan 1941

Lance Cottrell, 40-year-old World war veteran who had spent the past 16 years at
the Veterans’ hospital in Battle Creek, died Monday at 10:45 a.m.  The body was
brought to the Myers funeral home on East Main street.  Funeral arrangements
have not been made.  He is the son of Fred A. Cottrell of 634 Morse street.

[Transcriber Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was buried
in Balcom Cemetery.]
