The Belding Banner, Monday, January 26, 1981


Clarence C. Cottrell, 96, formerly of Belding, died Saturday in Auburn, 
Kentucky.  Mr. Cottrell was born February 25, 1885 in Bloomfield Center.  He 
was a retired taxidermist.  His wife, Anna, died in 1974.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Budd (Marion) Barry, Auburn, Kentucky, Mrs. 
Roger (Mildred) Wright, Belding; a son, Clifford, Grand Haven; a brother, John, 
Ionia; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and two great-great 
grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Huffman Funeral Home, Belding, the 
Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  Interment will be in River Ridge Cemetery.  
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
