Sentinel-Std. - Thursday, July 10, 1986

IONIA- Amanda E. Cottrell, 87, of 515 Hall St., Ionia, died Tuesday at the 
Provincial House-West of Lansing.

She was born Sept. 29, 1896, the daughter of Peter and Sarah (Sprain) Marker in 
Van Wert County in Ohio. She attended Saranac Public Schools.

She married John Cottrell on Nov. 9, 1915, in Saranac. He preceded her in death in 
October of 1984.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Dale (Eleanor) Sage of Saranac; four grandchildren:

16 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Montgomery-Roetman Funeral

Home in Ionia.

Burial is in Saranac Cemetery, with the Rev. Dan Graybill officiating.

The family will be at the funeral home Thursday and Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
