Ionia Sentinel Standard - June 4, 2011

   Laura May Couchman, 82, of Ionia, passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at her 
home in Ionia.
   Laura was born on Dec. 4, 1928 the daughter of Gale and Dorothy (Dillingham) 
Anderson.
   Laura enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, golf and visiting her family in 
Texas, Colorado and California. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed 
playing with friends several times each week.
   Laura was an active member at the First United Methodist Church She worked as 
their secretary for several years and sang in the choir.
   Laura was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Erwin Couchman; daughter, 
Kathy Kierdorf; sister, Mary Ellen Rowe; and brother, Russell Anderson. 
   Surviving are her children, Carl (Julie) Couchman and Dave (Arlene) Couchman; 
son-in-law, Mike Kierdorf; grandchildren, Matt Kierdorf, Will Kierdorf and Zach 
Couchman.
   The Memorial Service will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, June 6, 2011 at the 
First United Methodist Church of Ionia.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United 
Methodist Church of Ionia or Spectrum Health Hospice of Grand Rapids. Online

to the Schrauben-Lehman Funeral Homes, Ionia.
