Sentinel-Std. - Wednesday, May 21, 1975

GREENVILLE - J. D. Couchman, 78, of route 1 Greenville, died Tuesday at the 
Extended Care facility at United Memorial hospital in Greenville. 

Born in Fairplains township, Montcalm county, July 10, 1896, he was the son of 
George and Maude Rasmussen Couchman.

He was a retired landscaper and member of the Congregational church of 
Greenville and also the Greenville lodge F&A.M.

His wife, the former Gertrude Tallman, died in 1961.

Surviving are a son, Erwin Couchman of Ionia and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 3:30 pm at the Brown-Teman funeral home in 
Greenville. Rev. Henry Schadeberg will officiate and interment  will be at 
Fairplains cemetery, near Greenville. 

The family members will b e at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 8:30.
