Cindy Marie Coulson, 51, of Ionia, endured 11 years of courageously fighting 
breast cancer. Her Lord came down and gently put his arms around her and took 
her home with him on Sunday, April 8, 2013. He could see she had the will to 
keep fighting, but the pain was too much for her to bear. He released her from 
her pain to join in heaven her mother and father. 

She was born Sept. 6, 1961 in Lansing, the daughter of Virgil and Marguerite 
(Schreiner) Doty. Cindy Doty married John Coulson on June 11, 1988 in Ionia.

She worked for 20 years at Kysers Restaurant where her customers also became 
her friends. She loved her horses, dogs and she was very proud of her garden. 
Cindy also enjoyed sitting in a boat, standing on a bank, any place she could 
catch a fish. She attended Shiloh Community Church.

And left here on earth to cherish her memories are her loving husband of 24 
years, John (Jack) Coulson of Ionia; sons, Andrew Fisher of Ionia and Travis 
Coulson of Ionia; mother-in-law, Dorothy Coulson of Ionia and the three 
musketeers, Shelly, Susie and Lori. She will also be missed by her many friends.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at Shiloh Community 
Church, 8197 Heth St., Orleans, with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating. 
Visitation will be noon Saturday until time of service at the church. A 
luncheon will be held following the services at the church.

Arrangements by Lake Funeral home of Ionia. Memorial contributions may be made 
in Cindy’s name to her family. A benefit dinner and silent auction for Cindy 
will be held 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, April 14 at Steele Street Hall in Ionia.
