Coulson, 71, of 347 Congress street, died Tuesday evening at Ionia Memorial hospital. He was born May 14, 1906 in Ann Arbor, the son of Henry and Bertha Coulson. He was a retired farmer and retired ground superintendent of the Ionia Fairgrounds. He was a member of the Sheridan Congregational church and a member of the Restless Ones Trailer club of Ionia. He married Onilee Warner in 1927 at Ionia. She survives. Also surviving are three daughters; Mrs. Clarence (Beverly) Beach of Orleans; Mrs. Jack (Louise) Macnaughton of Belding; and Mrs. Robert (Donalee) Kapp of Monroe; one brother, Jack Coulson of Lake Odessa; 21 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. Services will be Friday at 2 pm at the Stebbins-Simpson Funeral home in Sheridan. Rev. Gerald Bowen will officiate. Burial will be at the Sunset Memorial Gardens in Ionia The family will be at the funeral home to receive friends and relatives Wednesday from 7-8:30 and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-8:30 pm. The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to the Sheridan Congregational church or the Heart fund.
