J. Hugh Coulson

A long time Berlin township resident and farmer, J. Hugh Coulson, 76, died at his 
home Sunday morning.

Born October 21, 1891 in Odessa township, he was the son of John and Abigail Baird 
Coulson. At the age of three he moved with his parents to Berlin township. He was a

member of SS. Peter and Paul church and attended Coon school, south of Ionia. 
November 26, 1929 he was married to Teresa Zanto.

Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Mary Lou at home and a son Robert of 
Saranac; three grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Hazel Coulson, Grand Ledge, 
Margaret Coulson, Mrs. Martha Witzel and Mrs. Esther Tuttle all of Ionia, Mrs. Agnes

Fox of Lansing; two brothers, John and Fred of Ionia.

Funeral mass will be Wednesday at 10 am at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic church. 
Interment will be at Mt. Olivet cemetery.

Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 8 pm at Myers funeral home.
