Ionia Daily Standard - February 28, 1901

Richard Coulson died at his home in Berlin this morning at the ripe age of 82 years
and 
8 months. He had been a resident of the township 36 years, coming here from state of

New York. He leaves a wife and six children; Fanny, widow of Mr. Tubbs of Berlin; 
Albert, Cedar Springs; William, Odessa; Mary, wife of Cassius Barnett, Lowell; John,

Berlin; Margaret, wife of David Wheelock, Odessa. Funeral service at Wesleyan church
at 
10:30 a.m. Sunday. Deceased was one of the really stable and highly regarded
residents 
in his community. He was a good citizen, in the best sense.
