Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 4 May 1959

Funeral service will be held Wednesday from Hoag funeral home, St. Johns for
Vern B. Counseller, 63, who died in Ionia Saturday noon.  He had lived at 303
Gibbs street, St. Johns and was employed at Federal-Mogul plant.  He suffered a
heart attack on Lafayette street while waiting for his wife, Catherine, who was
in the Tannheimer Medical Center.

Coroner Neil Phelps, who was called, said Counseller had suffered a heart attack
several months ago and had visited an Ionia doctor Saturday morning for a checkup.

Interment will be in Mt. Rest cemetery at St. Johns.
