Ivan E. Coupar, 78, of 711 Jordan Lake avenue died Wednesday afternoon in an 
auto accident on Brown road west of Hastings.  He was born March 25, 1898 in 
Marlette, the son of Mr and Mrs George Coupar.  He was married to Emily Jane 
MacTavish who preceded him in death in 1949.  He married his wife, Jeanette, in 
1952.  He lived in Brighton all of his life until moving to Lake Odessa in 1948.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; one son, Robert, of Miami, Fla.; one 
sister, Mrs. Rene (Hazel) Shields of Marlette, two grandchildren; and one great 
grandchild.
Services will 
be Sunday at 11:30 am at the Pickens-Koops funeral chapel in Lake Odessa.  
Graveside services are at Fairview cemetery in Brighton Sunday at 3 pm.
