Courser, 73, of 471 Beresford street died Monday morning at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born in Montcalm county September 13, 1884, he was the son of Trueman and Allie Courser. In 1905 he was married to Margaret Ingraham in Stanton. Mr. Courser had been a resident of Ionia since 1913 and was employed at Ionia area factories. He was a member of the Free Methodist church. Surviving besides his wife are one daughter, Mrs. Leonard Kenney of South Ionia; four sons, Arnold of Vero Beach, Fla., the Rev. E. E. of Elsie, the Rev. Edwin E. of Alpena and Charles of Ionia; 10 grandchildren, and three brothers, Howard of Hastings, Chester of Grand Rapids and Harold of Jupiter, Fla. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home, with the Rev. Charles Warner officiating. Interment will be at Balcom cemetery.
