The Ionia County News, Thursday, January 8, 1959
Charles H. Courter, 79, of Grand Rapids, died Saturday, December 27, at Grand 
Rapids Osteopathic Hospital.  Born September 29, 1879 in Boston Township, he 
was a resident of Saranac for many years.  Surviving are three brothers, Ward 
and Floyd of Saranac and Herbert of Grand Rapids; a sister, Mrs. Mary Rollins; 
and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held Tuesday, December 30, at the Morris Funeral Home with 
the Rev. Waldo Risner of Grand Rapids officiating.  Interment was in Saranac 
Cemetery.
