Ionia Shopper's Guide - Sat.November 12, 2022

                                    COURTNAY

Kimberly Ann Courtnay age 68, of Ionia passed away November 6, 2022. She was 
born June 27, 1954 in Ionia he daughter of Stanley D.and Joan R.Peabody Thomas. 
Kim attended Ionia Public Schools graduating with the class of 1972. She married 
Greg Courtnay June 16, 1973 in Ionia, together raising two sons.

Kim worked for Ionia County in several positions, ending with Probate Court 
after 43 years of service. She loved to collect rocks, do ceramics, macrame and 
make stained glass art. Kim was very resourceful, even sewing clothing for her 
and Greg. She loved her flower garden and her pond that she designed herself 
with the help of her husband. Kim was an avid reader and Candle Maker "Kim's 
Candles."

She is survived by her loving husband Greg Courtnay of Ionia. Sons; Joseph 
(Nadine) Courtnay of Grandville and Andrew (Bethany) Courtnay of Howell.
Granddaughters, Kensington, Lexington and Arathelle. Brother; Marc (Karen) 
Thomas of Greenville, Sister; Laura (Dave) Vroman of Ionia. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services were held at the Lake Funeral 
Home in Ionia Thursday,November 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation was Wednesday 
4-7 pm at the Funeral Home. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to 
Hospice of Michigan or Alzheimer's Association. Online condolences may be made
