Ionia Sentinel Standard, 7 Nov 1977

Harold Leroy Courtney, 63, 2217 Divine highway, route 1, Lyons, died Friday at
his home.  He was born November 16, 1913 in Corey, Pennsylvania, the son of Mr.
and Mrs. James Courtney.

He married the former Marion Himes in Erie, Pennsylvania, July 6, 1943.  A
former employee of Oldsmobile in Lansing, he had lived in the Lyons area for 20
years.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Richard and Raymond of Pennsylvania and
David of Portland; his father, James Courtney of Detroit and five grandchildren.

Services were Monday at 2 p.m. from the Hull Memorial chapel with Rev. Mark
Matter of Lyons United Methodist church officiating.  Burial is in Lyons cemetery.
