Richard Couzzins died Thursday evening, July 28, suddenly at the Carson City 
hospital after a short illness.  He was born September 9, 1885, in North 
Plains township the son of Richard and Ellen Ledwedge Couzzins and lived his 
entire life on the same farm.  June 7, 1910 he was married to Nellie Welsh at 
St. Johns the Baptist church in Hubbardston.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie; two daughters, Mrs. Jerry Moriarity of 
Portland and Sister Ricardo of Nazareth, Kalamazoo; two sons, Porter of Carson 
City and Matthew at home; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Caine of 
Paw Paw and Bertha of Howard City.

Funeral services are being arranged by the Burns-Gunther funeral home of 
Carson City.  Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the St. Johns Baptist 
church in Hubbardston with the Rev. Fr. Eugene R. Fox officiating and burial 
will be in the church cemetery.
