Lake Odessa Wave, 20 Aug 1942

Mrs. Rosalia Parsons Covert passed away suddenly at her home on north Main 
street Saturday morning at the age of 85 years.

Mrs. Covert was born at Maceden, Wayne county, New York.  At the age of eight 
years she moved with her parents to Michigan, the family locating in Carlton 
township, Barry county.  In 1878 she was married to James N. Covert, also of 
Carlton.  Twenty-nine years ago Mr. and Mrs. Covert moved to Lake Odessa where 
in 1929 the husband passed away.

Mrs. Covert was a member of the Methodist church and a lady of refinement and 
culture.  Her last few days were made happy in the company of her little great-
granddaughter, Connie Sawyer.

Surviving are two sons, Martin at Holland, Mich., and Glenn L., Lake Odessa, 
one grandchild, Mrs. Victor Sawyer, and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Wortley & Baine chapel Monday afternoon 
with the Rev. Leon W. Manning of Charlotte, officiating.  Burial was in the 
Fuller cemetery in Carlton township.
