The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, June 3, 1935

W. A. Covert, 70, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lottie Huhn, of 
Saranac, Sunday evening at 9 o’clock following a brief illness.

He was born in Cannonsburg, Kent county, in 1865 and was married in 1884 to 
Jennie Ransford of Lowell, who died January 15, 1935.  He was a merchant in 
Lowell for a number of years and 18 years ago they moved to Rockford where he 
operated a store until a year ago they moved to Saranac and he was manager of 
the G. P. Adgate clothing store.  He was a member of the Malta Masonic lodge 
of Grand Rapids, and of he R. and A. M. chapter of Rockford.

He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Lottie Huhn, Saranac; one half-brother, Otis 
Clark, Grand Rapids; one half-sister, Mrs. Vera Clark Wallace, Detroit; five 
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 from the home of his 
daughter in Saranac.  Burial will be at Saranac.
