Ionia Sentinel Standard, 26 & 29 Jul 1969

A prominent Easton township dairy farmer, Lester C. Covert, 66, died Friday at
the Ionia County Memorial hospital.  He had lived on the same farm 56 years.  He
was born May 8, 1903, the son of Frank and Lyda Conner Covert.  August 3, 1929
he was married to Irma Carroll, who survives.  He was also a board member for
the Easton United Methodist church.

Surviving are his wife, Irma; two sons, Stanley of route 3 and Gary also of
route 3 and a daughter Mrs. Carol Roush of East Lansing; eight grandchildren;
mother, Mrs. Lyda Convert; one sister, Mrs. Reva Borup of Saranac.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Easton Methodist church.  Rev.
Ralph Kline will officiate and interment will be at Easton cemetery.  Mr. Covert
is at the Stone-Kauffman funeral home and a memorial has been established for
the Easton United Methodist church.

Rev. Ralph Kline officiated at funeral services Monday at the Easton United
Methodist church for Lester C. Covert, who died Friday.  Organist was Mrs. Lewis
Ward.  Interment was at the Easton cemetery.  Bearers were Maurice Stebbins,
Gilbert Borup, Joseph C. McCord, Harry Young, Fran Borup and Elvon Rasmussen.
