The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, January 3, 1970


A former resident of Easton township, Mrs. Lyde Covert, 92, died Saturday 
morning in United Memorial hospital in Greenville.  Born in Easton township on 
April 30, 1877, the daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Thomas Connor, she married the 
late Frank Covert December 1900.  He preceded her in death in 1956.

For the past five years Mrs. Cover has been living at the Belding Christian 
convalescent home.  She is a member of Easton United Methodist church and the 
Womens’ Society. 

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Frank Borup of Saranac, five grandchildren and 
ten great grandchildren.  A son Lester died during the past year.

The body is at Stone-Kauffman funeral home in Ionia, with funeral services to 
be in Easton United Methodist church at 2 p.m. January 6, the Rev. Ralph Kline 
officiating.  Burial will be in Easton cemetery.
