Frank M. Covert, 85, well known Easton township farmer, died Wednesday morning 
at Ionia County Memorial hospital, where he had been a patient for one week, 
after he fractured his hip.

Born in Keene township, July 21, 1870, he was the son of William and Lois 
Covert, attended Saranac schools and in 1900, married Lyda Conner in Belding. 
They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1950. Following their 
marriage, they resided at the Covert homestead in Keene township. In 19006, 
they moved to Easton township where they made their home for the past 43 years.

He was a member of the First Methodist church, the Farm Bureau and was a former 
member of the Welch school board.

Surviving are his wife Lyda, one son, Lester Covert of Easton; one daughter, 
Mrs. Frank Borup of Saranac; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two 
daughters, Eva and Dorothy died in 1905 and 1909 respectively; one brother, 
William Covert of Pasadena, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. Maude Godfrey of 
Benton Harbor and Mrs. Carrie Hammontree, Belding 

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Easton church 
with the Rev. Glenn McCarty officiating.

Burial will be in Easton cemetery under the direction of Stone-Kauffman funeral 
home.
