          STANLEY R. COVERT
          YVONNE K. COVERT
    Stanley R. and Yvonne K. Covert passed away at their home Nov. 3 and Nov. 4,
2017i, respectively.
   Stanley was born on July 20, 1932, in Ionia the son of Lester and Irma Covert. 
Yvonne was born on Oct. 28, 1934, in Ionia the daughter of Norris and Lorna Throop.
   Stanley grew up on a dairy farm and would later own and operate a trucking
company.  He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
  He enjoyed traveling with his wife and was always the eternal optimist. Many knew
him by the red suspenders he wore always referred to as "Adorable".
   Yvonne also affectionately called "Vonnie" by her husband was an accomplished
painter.  She was wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that loved 
taking care of her family.
  Together, they are survived by sons Brain Covert and finance Annette Bedard of
Ionia, Greg (Karen) Covert of Ionia.  Six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  
Stanley also has a sister Carol Roush of Lansing and brother Gary (Ellie) Covert of 
Arizona surviving.
   Cremation has taken place and there will be memorial services scheduled for
Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 11 a.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Pastor Kenneth 
Harger officiating.
   Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday 5-7 p.m.
   Those wishing may make memorial contributions to Ionia Community Awareness.
