Covert of this city passed away very suddenly as a result of a paralytic stroke occasioned by sunstroke, his back being completely paralyzed. Mr. Covert had been able to be around up to a day or two before his death, and the suddenness of his calling is but another evidence of the uncertainty of life. Mr. Covert was born in 1837 and had he lived until the fourth of November, next, would have been seventy years of age. He is survived by four brothers; William of this city, Benjamin of Ionia, Peter, aged 92, of Carlton Center, and Edgar of Seattle, Washington. A son, Edgar, of this city, and a daughter, Mrs. Imogene VanOcker of Lakeview, also are left to mourn the loss of a beloved father. Following a prayer at the house tomorrow morning at 7:30 o’clock, the remains will be taken to Entrican where funeral services will be held and the remains will be laid to rest in the village cemetery.
