The Portland Observer, Wednesday, March 15, 1899


DeWitt Mintern received word last Friday that the wife of Wm. Covey, who 
removed from his farm in Orange to McLean, Tompkins county, N.Y., the forepart 
of the year, was dead.  The cause of her death was the grip.  She was buried 
Feb. 28th.  Mr. Covey has been very sick from the same disease for about two 
weeks.
