Dwight Kitch officiating. Interment was at the Highland Park cemetery. Mrs. Esther Thompson Friend was organist. In charge of the flowers were Mrs. Russell Voelker, Mrs. Clare Lewis and Mrs. Viggo Nielsen. There was a guard of honor, consisting of four Knights Templars, Roy Weber, Harris Jackson, Blaine Laden and E. W. Krainbrink. Honorary bearers were the Knights Templars. Bearers were Harold McKendry, Allen McKendry, Edgar McKendry, Elmer McKendry, Royce McKendry and John Toutenhoofd. Ionia Lodge No. 36 F and AM., Queen Esther Chapter No. 35 OES, and BPOE No. 548 all attended in a body. Attending from away were Mrs. Frank Jarvis of Sparta; Mr. and Mrs. John Bradford, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bradford, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Thomas and Mrs. Edith Thomas of Belding; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gray, Mr. and Mrs. Orin Elsby, Mrs. William Schmidt and Mrs. Emma Gasilo of Rockford; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Tautenhahn of Grand Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. William Haas of Owosso; Miss Helen Holton, and Miss Julia Holton of St. Johns; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Darby of Mt. Morris; Mrs. Edith Haynor of Chicago; Martin Sacha and daughter, Elizabeth, and Horace Lynnes of Lansing; and Mr. and Mrs. Clare Lewis of Muir.
