The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, March 21, 1942

Claude Cowan, 65, died Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Reasoner 
in Ronald township where he had made his home for the past ten years.  Born in 
Amsden, Michigan, July 6, 1876, his occupation was farming.

Surviving is a brother, Jesse, of Ionia township.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2 p.m. from the Myers funeral 
home with Rev. Lewis Herrick of Palo officiating.
