Ionia Daily Standard, 7 Sep 1904

W. S. Cowan, a prominent and highly esteemed resident of Easton, died on Sunday
evening, at the age of 65.  He leaves a wife and three children:  Elmer, Edwin,
and Mrs. John McKendry.  Funeral service at family residence, on Monday morning,
was conducted by Rev. M.L. Fox.  Interment, Easton cemetery.
