          OBITUARY
   Miss Lucinda Mills eldest daughter of John F. and Rachel Mills was born in New
York, N. Y. July 18, 1849. 
She was united in marriage to Mr. Wm. Cowell. of Ogden, Mich., Jan. 2, 1869.  To
this union were born twelve 
children seven of whom with her companion preceded her in death the latter having
departed this life but five 
months ago.
   She leaves five brothers, three sisters, two daughters, and three sons to mourn
their deep loss, the children 
being Mrs. Rachel Austin of Marion, Mrs. Grace Dorriell of Lansing, Mr. Edward
Cowell of Battle Creek, Mrs. 
Willis Cowell of  Hickory Corners, and Mr. Chester Cowell of Lake Odessa.
   The oldest daughter and youngest son were with her at the time of her death which
occurred early Saturday 
morning.  She was 62 yrs. 4 days of age.
   The funeral was held at the home on Tupper Lake street, Monday afternoon,
conducted by J. Adison Davis 
and interment was in Lakeside cemetery.
