Two Local Men Killed In Crash.

William Cowles – Mr. Cowles had also lived his entire life in the Belding area.
 He was born in Smyrna on July 2, 1904.  He married the former Pauline
Whitefield February 15, 1930.

Surviving William Cowles are his wife, and three sons, Frederick, David and Ted.
 Other survivors in his family are a sister, Mrs. Hugo Gasper of Gladwin and
three brothers Leo and James of Belding and Richard of Lansing.  

Funeral services for Mr. Cowles were held last Monday at 2 p.m. at the Ellis
funeral home.  Rev. Lester Clough officiated at the services.  Interment was at
the Smyrna cemetery.
