Ionia Sentinel Standard, 19 Nov 1931

Private services were conducted Thursday morning by Rev. M. W. Duffey, pastor of
the M. E. church at 10 o’clock for Charles Franklin Cowling.  Mr. Cowling died
Wednesday morning of typhoid fever, his death being the second in the family
within the month.  Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.
