Genevieve M. Cowling, 87, of Fenwick, died Thursday, December 30, 2004 at 
Metron of Greenville.  She was born August 1, 1917, in Palo, the daughter of 
Willis and Edith Cowling Houseman.  Mrs. Cowling was a resident of the Fenwick 
area since 1945.  She was married March 7, 1933 to Clare S. Cowling.  He 
preceded her in death in 1992.

She is survived by two daughters, Esther and Richard Forest, Rosemary and 
Marcel Collins, all of Fenwick; three sons, Howard Cowling of Ocala, Fla., 
Dennis and Janet Cowling, Thomas and Cheryl Cowling, all of Fenwick; several 
grandchildren; great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister, 
Violet Ordiway of Vestaburg; and two sisters-in-law, Viola Noggle of Holly, 
Marilyn Cowling of Neponset, Ill.

In accordance with Mrs. Cowling’s wishes, there will be no funeral services or 
visitation.  Interment is in Sunny Hill Cemetery, Fenwick.  The family is being 
served by Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan.
