He was born February 21, 1947 in St. Johns the son of Lloyd and Emma (Schmidt) Cox. Paul married Nellie Lover on March 21, 1970 in Saranac. He worked in Quality Control at Electrolux for 40 years before retiring in 2005. Paul was a member of the Belding VFW and Saranac American Legion. He liked to hunt, fish, golf, cook, and mow his lawn. Paul was a very independent person. Paul is survived by his wife, Nellie Cox; children, Teresa (Terry) Ingraham of Saranac and Paul Cox II of Flint; brother, Erwin Cox of Lowell; sister, Esther (Ken) Adair of Ionia; grandchildren, Ashley Misner of Ionia, Cory Ingraham of Saranac, Alexandria Ingraham of Saranac; one great-grandchild, Camden Misner and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Don and sister, Helen. Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 15th, 11:00 A.M. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia with Rev. Vila Daniel officiating. Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation on Thursday, 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Hospice.
