Lake Odessa Wave - Thurs.February 26, 1959

MARTIN COX DIED MONDAY
Martin D. Cox Sr. 73 was found dead in his farm at 940 1/2 Fourth Avenue, Monday 
about 5:30 p.m. by his landlord Clarence Marvin. The State Police and Corner 
Neil Phelps of Ionia were called and Coroner Phelps said death was from natural 
causes and occurred sometime Saturday.

Surviving are one daughter Mrs Pauline Alder of Sonoma, California; two sons 
Martin Jr. and Paul of Battle Creek; four grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Mabel 
Mason of Ionia and Mrs Maude Buxton of Lake Odessa and one brother Francis of 
Ionia.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 3:30 p.m at the Pickens Funeral chapel 
with burial in Lakeside Cemetery. Rev. A.J.Pitman officiated.
