Lake Odessa Wave-Thursday May 21, 1953

FRANK COYKENDALL, LOCAL RESIDENT DIED SATURDAY
Frank M. Coykendall 87, died at the Cook Rest Home in Ionia early Saturday 
morning. He had been a patient there since Monday.

A native of Lenawee county, he also lived at Middleville, moving here 60 years 
ago.

He was a retired farmer and professional trainer of horses for harness racing.

Surviving are one daughter Mrs Marjorie Hershiser of Lake Odessa, one son Sgt. 
Lester Coykendal of Rockford, one sister Mrs. Charles Walton of Ionia, five 
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

His wife Ella died in 1943.

Funeral services were held Monday at 2 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with burial 
in Lakeside Cemetery. Rev. Paul Robinson officiated.
