Ionia Sentinel-Standard
August B. Craft, 81, of Woodbury, died Monday morning at Ionia Manor.
Mr. Craft was born in Russia Aug. 14, 1899, and attended schools in North Dakota 
as a young man before moving to Michigan.

He started an auto agency in Ionia in the late 1920’s until it closed in 1969.  
He moved to Woodbury in 1969 and opened a machine shop until its sale in 1975.
Mr. Craft was a former member of the Ionia Elks Lodge.

Surviving are:  three sons, Raymond of Houghton Lake, Richard of New Haven, Ind. 
and Harold of Ionia; five grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; four 
brothers; and one sister.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Leddick Funeral Home, with the Rev. 
Edgar Perkins of the Woodbury United Brethren Church officiating.
Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the 
funeral home.  A memorial has been established for the Cancer Society and 
contributions may be left in the funeral home.
