Wayne. Born in Muskegon, he was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, New Haven; and the St. Vincent DePaul Society. He retired in 1983 after having worked in the parts department at both Davis Pontiac and Fitzgerald Cadillac. The WW II U.S. Army veteran is survived by his wife of 55 years, Germaine “Geri”; son, William of Foristell, MO; daughter, Cheryl (Tom) Faurote of Ft. Wayne; grandchildren, Angela Craft, Ryan Craft, Brad Faurote, and Joel Faurote; and sister-in-law, Catherine Craft of Ionia. He was preceded in death by brothers, Harold and Ray. Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 943 Power Street, New Haven with calling one hour before service time at the church. Calling is also 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at E. Harper & Son Funeral Home, 740 Indiana Hwy., 930 E. New Haven, with a scripture service at 7:30 p.m. Burial is at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, New Haven. Preferred memorials are to St. Andrew’s Soup Kitchen or St. Vincent DePaul Society.
