Craig, aged 76 years, 2 months and 16 days. Deceased was born in Richland, Ohio, February 11, 1827, and for nearly 50 years has been an highly respected citizen of this village. He was twice married and three daughters were born as the result of the first union, two of whom survive, Mrs. Wm. Baily, of Big Rapids, and Mrs. Chas. D. Haven, of St. Louis, Mo. In 1867 he was married to Cornelia Hosford of Clyde, Ohio, and to them were born two children, Eugene E. Craig, of Kansas City, Mo., and Edith Craig, of Lyons. In 1864 deceased enlisted in Company F. of the Third Regiment of Michigan Infantry, receiving an honorable discharge after serving one year. He was a member of M.W. Dresser Post, G.A.R. In 1874 Mr. Craig became a member of the S.D.A. Church of Lyons and ever after lived a conscientious Christian life. His funeral was held from that church Thursday forenoon and was largely attended.
