Craig was born in Butler, Michigan March 26, 1862 and was united in marriage to Charles H. Dumont December 23, 1885. Departed this life Saturday, May 13 at 7 a.m. at the age of 54 years, 1 month and 17 days. Mrs. Dumont is survived by her husband, Charles H. Dumont and a son, Claude A., of Detroit and Goldia E. V. of this city. Three brothers and two sisters, Milton Craig of Three Rivers, Miss Ida B. Craig of Fowlerville, George Stewart of Coldwater, James Stewart of California, Dr. Minnie M. Stewart of Benton Harbor this date. The deceased united with the Church of Christ in this city in 1913 and has been a faithful member in attendance until her health failed a year ago. But she kept her faith steadfast in her Savior until He called her home. Well done good and faithful servant enter thou into the joys of thy Lord, there to see her Savior face to face. Mrs. Dumont was also a faithful member of the following orders; Ladies of the Modern Maccabees, Royal Neighbors, Court of Honor of the Woman’s Relief corps by whom she was buried. Mrs. Dumont was a devoted wife and a loving mother, a kind neighbor, always ready and willing to obey the call for aid and will be greatly missed in the church, in the lodges and by a host of friends. Mrs. Dumont was a patient sufferer, never murmured, but always cheerful and greeted her friends with a smile of welcome. Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ conducted by Rev. R. B. Chapman assisted by Rev. C. E. Hoag. Card of Thanks: We wish to extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the many dear loving friends who so kindly assisted us during the long hours of suffering and to the church, the orders, neighbors and all for the many beautiful floral offerings which expressed the love and esteem in which she was held.
