Craig, 80, died Friday afternoon at the Clark Memorial home in Grand Rapids where she had resided since 1948. She was born February 28, 1870, in Eastmanville. She was a graduate of Grand Rapids high school and the Boston Conservatory of Music. She was a music instructor at Alma college and gave private lessons in Belding for many years. Her husband, the Rev. G.F. Craig, died last March. He was the second pastor in Belding’s Methodist church, holding that pastorate in 1907 and 1908. A Methodist minister for 29 years, he and Mrs. Craig lived in East Chicago, South Bend and Belding. Upon his retirement in 1942, they returned to Belding to make their home. At the time of their marriage November 24, 1908, the Rev. Craig was pastor of the LaPorte, Ind. Methodist church. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Palmer Fales, of Portland, Ore., and two brothers, John Wagner of Jerome, Ariz., and Melvin Wagner of Evanston, Ill. She was a member of the Belding Methodist church and a former member of the Ladies’ Literary club. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Fitzjohn funeral home with the Rev. Lester Clough of Belding officiating assisted by his father, the Rev. Fred Clough, who resides at the Clark Memorial home. Interment will be in the River Ridge cemetery.
