County Pioneer Dies In Sebewa

Funeral Services For Mrs. Martha Cramer Held Sunday; Burial Made In Danby

Funeral services were held at the Halladay church Sunday for Mrs. Martha 
Cramer, 89, who died at her home at Sebewa Corners Friday afternoon.  Burial 
was made in Danby cemetery.

Mrs. Cramer was born in Wallingford, Vermont in 1843, and when 12 years of age 
came to Michigan with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orange Partlow.  The family 
settled in Roxand township, Eaton county, where she resided until her marriage 
to Mr. Cramer, when the couple came to Danby, residing there until the latter’s 
death when Mrs. Cramer moved to Sebewa making her home with her son, Floyd.  
Besides the son one daughter, Mrs. Joie Burns, survives.  Another daughter, 
Helen Cramer, passed away last March.
