H. Coville, last week Tuesday where she was born and spent her childhood days. Many old friends and neighbors were in attendance and the flowers and floral offerings from sympathizing friends and orders were most beautiful. Rev. W. J. Rooks conducted the service and Mrs. O. N. Wilton sang, accompanied by Mrs. Byron Cook. The interment was made in the Otisco cemetery by the side of her father, Dr. Palmer Coville. The bearers were members of her High school graduating class. Avis Helen Coville was born April 30th, 1879 in Belding, Mich. She was educated in the public schools of this city and in 1899 entered the conservatory of music in Olivet college where she spent two years. She then entered the kindergarten training school of Grand Rapids. She taught in the Alexander street school also in the rural schools of Kiddville, Chadwick and Miriam. Was married in 1906 to Irving Crane of Stanwood, Mich. 6 children were born to them, 2 having passed beyond. She was a devoted mother, her children and home came first. She expressed a wish the funeral services should be like her father’s, Dr. Coville and was fully carried out, the same pieces were sung as at his funeral.
