Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Jun 1927

Mrs. Lucy Crane, 79, died Saturday evening at 10:30 at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Clarence Bissell, northwest of the village of Pewamo.  Since the 
death of her husband, Joseph Crane, two years ago Mrs. Crane has resided at the 
farm home in Berlin township and with her relatives in various parts of Ionia 
county.  Mr. Crane died two years ago following injuries which he received when 
struck by a train while walking on the track west of Ionia.  Mrs. Crane has 
been ill about two weeks.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Bissell, of Pewamo, and Mrs. Bielow, 
west of Ionia, one brother, Charles Ludwick, of Ionia, and six grandchildren.  
Bert Reed is a son-in-law.

The funeral services will be held from the residence of Mrs. Bissell Tuesday 
afternoon at 2 o’clock city time.  Rev. W. K. Kendrick will officiate.  Burial 
will be in the family lot in the Balcom cemetery.
