Ionia Daily Sentinel, 13 May 1911

Mrs. Mary Crane, wife of W. W. Crane, died at 6:30 Friday evening at her 
residence 369? East Washington street, at the age of 67 years.  Mrs. Crane had 
been ill for about eight years a sufferer from cancer, but has been confined to 
her bed about five weeks.

Three years ago Mr. and Mrs. Crane came to Ionia from their farm in Orange, 
where their only child, Fred, now lives.  Since then they have resided in the 
county.  They were married forty-four years ago in Lowell, where they resided 
for seventeen years, before coming to Ionia.  Mrs. Crane was Miss Mary 
Campbell, and was born in Ohio.

A short prayer service was held at the house here this afternoon, after which 
the remains were taken to the old home in Orange, where so many years of Mrs. 
Crane’s life had been spent.  Funeral will be held there Monday afternoon at 
one o’clock, Rev. W. G. Moore, of the Church of Christ, officiating.  Burial 
will be in Portland cemetery.

Since residing in Ionia, Mrs. Crane has attended the Church of Christ.
